Delete your data on Magliss
This page explains how to delete some or all of your personal data in the Magliss app (Android and iOS), with or without deleting your account.
Delete some data (keep your account)
Sign in to Magliss, then use in-app controls to remove content you created. No web form is required.
- Messages: open a chat → long-press a message → choose Delete for me (removes it from your view) or Delete for everyone when available (removes it for all participants).
- Posts: open your post → menu (⋯) → Delete post.
- Stories: open your story → delete or remove before it expires (24 hours).
- Profile fields: Settings → edit profile to change or clear name, bio, or profile photo.
Deleted content is removed from Magliss servers when you use delete-for-everyone or account-wide deletion. Delete-for-me hides content from your account; backups may be purged within 30 days.
Export your data (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are in Germany, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Oman, or another region with data-protection rights, you can download a copy of personal data linked to your account.
- Open Magliss and sign in.
- Go to Settings → Privacy & security.
- Tap Download all your data (GDPR) and save the export file.
Full account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. You must be signed in.
Delete your entire account (in the app)
- Open the Magliss app and sign in with your email and password.
- Go to Settings (gear icon in the app menu).
- Tap Privacy & security.
- Scroll to Delete account and tap it.
- Read the warning, enter your account password to confirm, and confirm deletion.
- After success, you are signed out and your account is removed from our servers.
What we delete
When you complete in-app account deletion, Magliss permanently removes data linked to your account, including:
- Your authentication account (email login)
- Profile information (name, Magliss ID, bio, avatar, and related profile fields)
- Your messages, posts, stories, comments, and other content you created
- Friend connections, groups, communities, and memberships tied to your account
- Notification tokens and app settings stored for your account
- Media files you uploaded that are stored in Magliss cloud storage for your account
What may be kept temporarily
- Encrypted message content may remain visible to other users only in their own devices or local caches; Magliss cannot read end-to-end encrypted private messages.
- Anonymous or aggregated analytics that cannot identify you
- Records we must keep for a limited time to comply with law, security, or fraud prevention (if applicable)
- Automated backups may be purged on a normal backup rotation cycle (typically within 30 days)
Need help?
If you cannot access the app, sign in with the same email you used for Magliss, then follow the steps above. For privacy questions, see our Privacy Policy.
